Did you hit upon this blog post because you were looking for a good Indian restaurant in Seoul? Great! Indian food is one of Josh and I’s favourite cuisines, so we often try a local Indian restaurant(s) wherever we go. Having spent quite a lot of time in Seoul together now, we’ve tried enough Indian restaurants to have a preference. So far, Taj – Taste of India (ํƒ€์ง€) in Myeongdong is our number one choice! It was actually our most recent trip to Korea when we came across Taj (March 2022). Myeongdong Cathedral view (๋ช…๋™๋Œ€์„ฑ๋‹น) The reason we wanted to try Taj was the view of Myeongdong Cathedral, which is Korea’s first Gothic-style brick church. Located across from the Cathedral, one side of Taj boasts an excellent view of the Cathedral, with the N Seoul Tower in the distance! Booking for guaranteed window-side tables As it was this Cathedral view…

If you’re looking forward to trying Korean foods during your visit to South Korea, you must’ve heard about Korean fried chicken. Even though the origin of fried chicken is not Korea, we have taken it so well; there are 409 fried chicken brands with around 87,000 restaurants across the country, according to the recent report! For differentiation, they try hard to make new flavours and sauces, meaning you have so many options. I like Korean fried chicken too. But I’m trying to have it less often because of the values I want to live by: animal welfare. As much as I wanted to introduce Korean fried chicken, of which the taste is guaranteed, to my foreign friends, I also struggled to find somewhere that showed animal welfare… Until I encountered Rocket Crispy Chicken! For those who’d like to support restaurants that care about animal welfare while would love to try…

This review is about my dining experience at Dosan Bunsik in Seoul. Retro and trendy elements were worth a go, although waiting could have been a nightmare as a part of the experience. If you’re up for a stylish snippet of older times of the country, keep reading! It was a sunny morning, bit late to have breakfast and early for lunch, when my friend and I had brunch in the 1970s~1990s of Seoul. My friend had had this place on her wish list for a long time, and it was a good day & time to try.ย When I searched this Korean restaurant on the internet for information, we realised we had to take it seriously to be served at Dosan Bunsik (๋„์‚ฐ ๋ถ„์‹). As a new yet already highly successful eating place, there were a lot of reviews online, all of which mentioned a long queue! With lots of…

While there are a countless number of great restaurants in Seoul, when it comes to ‘healthier’ options choices may drop (apart from so-called ‘healthy traditional K-food’). As I was on a diet, this could have been a problem when seeing friends… before I encountered La Ferme, a ‘super food’ restaurant! How I found it was almost by luck really; I happened to see my friend’s Instagram photo when I was looking up dinner options with other friends. When I first saw her photo, I was attracted by food plating (i.e. Instagrammable). But what appealed to me afterwards was the ingredients used for each dish my friend had. I couldn’t help reading the restaurant’s menu, which convinced me so easily to visit and try. The below is my review about the restaurant including our choice of dishes, general vibes and more. Location La Ferme (๋ผํŽ˜๋ฆ„) is placed between Itaewon and Hangangjin…
